Time for Business

So, I take it after my last post you'd be wanting some kind of proper explanation of what this blog is going to be touching on.

And yes, sorry to disappoint, but I'm still going to be somewhat ambiguous about the specifics at this point. After all,  life has a tendency to get in the way of plans.

But through all the ideas swirling around in my head about how to better myself and the reader, I have managed to pluck certain aspects I do believe are important to becoming 2.0 (yes we're continuing that little theme from yesterday). All of which I'll touch on now yes?

As a side note, in regards to post frequency I think twice a week should be more than enough for everyone to digest my ramblings. Too much at once and I feel like you will all be sick of me quite promptly.

So here it is, the crystal ball on the future for this blog:

1) Fashion. Funny one to start eh? What's that? You have to be a teenage girl or gay guy to talk about fashion online? On the contrary my dear sir/madam, only weak minded idiots try to conform to societal compartmentalisation. So yes, fashion is going to play a large part on this blog as many of you would understand, its ability to give the power of confidence cannot be understated.

2) Health/fitness/diet. So this one's an interesting one, as I myself am not an expert on any of these things. As a matter of fact, nothing I talk about on this blog has come from any mastery of the material at all. What I do have is a number of experiences that may help you understand what its like to diet, build your health, and strive for fitness. Experiences that I firmly believe will both entertain you, and make you properly think about how a strong and healthy physical body can help us become better people.

3) Relationships. There's always going to be poisonous people out there. Good people too. Unfortunately, being an internet addicted teenager, you can be exposed to both kinds of individuals from a very young age. These posts will focus on these influences, romantic relationships, sibling relationships, and other important connections you may make throughout your young adult life.

4) Interests. Hobbies are an essential part of human existence. They quite literally define what makes an interesting person, or what makes them boring. I've had my fair share of interests throughout the years and I'm sure you would have too. These posts will probably be primarily guest posts, all with the aim to spur you to try something new and daring.

Hopefully that cleared some things up for you.

In addition, I really would be interested in exchanging guest posts with other blogs so feel free to leave a suggestion in the comments.

Enjoy the rest of your week,

Being Better

So, if I were to say you and I are about to run away together...what would you say?

Probably some words of rebuttal, years of social conditioning has taught us not to trust strangers after all. That paired with the fact you and I are probably a little more than a hop, skip, and a jump away from each other right? Not a realistic statement at all is it.

Well if you'd just indulge my little sentiment for a moment more, perhaps we can work something out huh? I'm going to suggest we do something crazy. Literally downright insane. Let's kill ourselves.

Now, now there! Put that knife down that sort of death isn't going to get us anywhere is it? Of course, being a normally functioning human being I'm not suggesting we actually kill ourselves. You'll no doubt learn quickly that I have a twisted way of getting my thoughts and messages across to others (I think you'll find the term is shock factor).

No. What I'm really saying is we need to start afresh. Rebuild ourselves from the ground up. Rise like the Phoenix from the razed ashes of our previous selves. And become who we want to be. And yes, Scientology? I'm more than willing to accept your employment opportunity as soon as it suits you. Clearly my metaphorical ambiguity will suit your little setup quite nicely.

So here's what we're going to do.

We're going to start looking after ourselves.

We're going to start thinking like good people.

We're going to start becoming *insert your name here* 2.0

"The biggest obstacle to people becoming better is that you have to really want to be a good person in order to be a better person, and most people would rather be other things."
Dennis Prager

In all seriousness, that's the essence of what this web space is going to represent. A place to simply become better. I mean, isn't that what we all pretend we want to do? I'm sure in many of your minds you're already pretty damn fucking perfect and content with who you are. I know most of the time I am. I love myself. I wouldn't change myself at all if someone else gave me the chance. But after a while an opportunity to be even more happy passes me by. Suddenly that confidence just...dissipates for a spell or two. Not very pleasant all if we're all being honest. So I decided that here, we would drive each other to become better together. To become Ten Times the Man if you will. Whatever that entails I suppose we'll find out sooner or later, but I'm sure it will be a worthwhile investment of our precious time.

So to leave you now, lets set up a little challenge. Write down in 5 words or less, how you would know if you were *insert your name here* 2.0. You don't have to post it anywhere, or even tell me. Do it in your head even. But this is where we're going to start.

Don't look too confused. It'll make more sense the second time you read it.
Let's begin our journey.
